As a college student, I find this laptop checks all of the boxes, from its durability by having a metal chassis (so I can carry it in my backpack with textbooks without worry) to it's very heavily praised keyboard for typing experience (though poorly backlit) to it's great portability especially as a gaming laptop since it is lightweight (3.64 lbs according to BestBuy), has a small profile (0.7" x 12.8" x 8.7" according to BestBuy) which I think is good for fitting in my backpack and not taking up space on desks (though all my classes are now online, but I expect this to last me beyond this pandemic; on that note, this does not have a webcam but I already have a good external one), and has great battery life (seems to average around 8 or 9 hours doing light tasks at lowered brightness according to most reviews, not to mention the 65 watt power delivery through the left USB-C port in case you want to carry a power bank instead of the 180 watt charger). The bad screen on the previous model held me back but since there is an update to the 144hz screen on the new model I am hoping they improved color accuracy and brightness on the new model. Finally, when realizing just how much power this laptop has especially in such a small and light profile as well as the amazing battery life for basic tasks and other amazing qualities (which you can found out through the many reviews that have much praise for this computer), this unit seems to be a no-brainer to me. Powerful hardware, portable, chargeable both with the a barrel plug but also USB-C, which comes in very handy with office work (USB-C Screen ftw!) Still better than a 60hz … What a guy.
